Waltz '03/Graham and Avril Watkins/2003 At the end of
2003, 714 people voted in the UK website’s “Most popular dance in
2003” survey. SWW ’03 was the most popular (21%). Sweetbay
Salsa came a close 2nd (20%).
SWW continued to be the favourite (27% of 569 votes) in the Jan-Mar
2004 survey. In the same survey, Apple Salsa received 3%.
It came fourth (9% of 834 votes) in the recent Jan-Mar 2005 "Which of
these dances is currently the most popular in your club?" survey.
This appealing dance obviously has longevity!! |
This dance came out a month b4 our (Dennis/Kim) 25th anniv.
Be it nice or not, I was determined we would master it to dance it on
the day. It turned out to be a BEAUTIFUL dance but not simple.
Any other time, I would leave it & learn another waltz - maybe not as
nice but easier.
I promised some members, who have been hankering for it ever since
they saw us dancing it, that this would be the club's 25th dance.
