What is Sequence Dancing?
Sequence Dancing (SD) is best described as “scripted” Ballroom Dancing (BD).   All the couples dance in unison to the choreographed routine of a 16-bar sequence, repeated several times.

Consequently, in contrast to BD, which is a form of free-style dancing, SD does not require the man to have the skill to lead his partner.

SD includes Old Time, Modern Ballroom and Latin American.  (NB  “Old Time” does not necessarily denote “Age”.  Dances in the Old Time style are still being written.)

SD is suitable for all ages, from 8 to 80.  It is very popular in New Zealand, Australia & UK.
